Supreme Session Day 1

Yesterday, Susan and Jennifer flew to Wisconsin for Supreme Session. Since it was Jenn’s birthday, as well as the birthday of one of Oregon's Past Associate Grand Guardians, upon arrival the Oregon delegation had a birthday party. The Supreme Guardian stopped by to say hi, and have her picture taken with the birthday celebrants.
Today she and other members of Oregon Job's Daughters explored the area around Madison.
In between events, Jennifer and the other girls enjoyed visiting in the lobby, and swimming in the pool.
Meanwhile Bryan spent the week at Camp Baldwin, a Boy Scout horse camp near Mount Hood.

Supreme Kickoff

For Independence Day, we held a fireworks fundraiser at our Lodge. We charged people to park in our lot, where they could see the City fireworks. We also sold snacks.
Bryan enjoyed lighting fireworks with the other DeMolay.
Yesterday we attended a barbeque in Corvallis to send off our Grand officers and Supreme Ritual team, to Supreme Session in Wisconsin. After we ate, we played games.
That evening, we went back to West Linn so Jennifer could sell cotton candy in Bethel 66's booth at the Old Time Fair.

Grand Session part 2

Friday night awards were given out for the competitions, and we had dessert. Like last year, Jennifer won many awards. Besides awards in sewing, cooking, and arts and crafts, the display board and scrapbook she made about her travels to California won awards in the Grand Librarian's contests, and she won sweepstakes in ritual.
Yesterday afternoon, the new Grand Guardian Council was installed.
After dinner, the Grand Bethel held their installation. Jennifer was installed into the choir. Then there was a reception and dance.

Grand Session

Yesterday was the first day of this year's Grand Session. Like last year, it was held in Keizer. Jennifer competed in ritual individually and as a member of the Supreme Ritual Team.
She also competed in choir with her Bethel, and entered lots of things in baking, sewing, and arts and crafts. After dinner, she took part in the formal opening. She pro-temed as Grand Bethel Treasurer.
This afternoon, the Grand Bethel met to hear reports and choose their officers for next year. Jennifer gave a report on her travels to California. This year, no Daughters were assigned to be representatives to other states, and Jennifer was picked to be a member of the choir.
After the meeting, the girls of Jennifer's Bethel went out to dinner.
