World of Color

Thursday we wandered around California Adventure a bit, ate at Storyteller's, and watched World of Color.
Friday we checked out and spent the morning looking around Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Hotel, checking out the changes they had made to the restaurants and pool. We then headed north to Central California.
Saturday morning we drove to Visalia, where Jennifer attended a leadership training session for California Rainbow girls.
On Saturday night, Jennifer and Bryan went to a dance hosted by State Center Chapter of DeMolay in Fresno. Sunday we made the long trek back home to Oregon.

Excelsior

Yesterday we hopped between parks, enjoying the Halloween decorations at Disneyland and the new look to California Adventure. The new entryway was open, but the entry plaza was blocked off as it is being rebuilt into Buena Vista Street.
Construction on Carsland continues.
Last night, we visited Excelsior Chapter of DeMolay, in Norwalk.

Halloween Time

Today we went to Disneyland, which was decorated for Halloween.
And we went to California Adventure, where we tried out the new Little Mermaid ride, which was nice but not great. Bryan and I took several trips on the revised Star Tours, trying to see all the possible destinations and scenarios.
Then, while Susan and Jennifer attended Mickey's Halloween Treat at Disneyland, Bryan and I visited the Yorba Linda Chapter of DeMolay.

DeMolay and Rainbow

We picked up Bryan at the Fresno Airport, then drove down to Anaheim and checked into the Grand Californian at Disneyland. Our room looked over the new pool
Tonight Bryan and I visited the Walt Disney Chapter of DeMolay.
While Jennifer and Susan attended a meeting of the Buena Park Assembly of Rainbow Girls in Norwalk.
After the meetings, we visited with the International Master Councilor of DeMolay.

California State Dad Reception

We attended the Reception of California's Grand Love at the Fresno Scottish Rite. Above is a picture of Jennifer with the Grand Worthy Advisor of California and the Grand Rep from California to Oregon. Jennifer with all the California Grand Officers in attendance.
The reception was followed by an ice cream social and dance in honor of the Grand Chaplain.Today, while Bryan finished at the Shrine Food Caravan, Jennifer attended a picnic in honor of the State Dad.

Shrine Food Caravan

On Friday, Susan, Jennifer, and I drove to California. Bryan stayed behind to attend the Shrine Food Caravan, where the Shrine Clubs from Central and Eastern Oregon send food to the Portland Shrine Hospital.
On Thursday night before we left, Jennifer presided as Worthy Advisor while her Assembly initiated three girls into Rainbow, including the Supreme Bethel Honored Queen.

Rainbow Grand Initiation and MOJD Pageant

It's been another busy week. On Thursday Bryan made his Official Visit to Milwaukie Chapter.
Yesterday we got up early and drove out to Eastern Oregon. We attended the reception of the Grand Worthy Associate Advisor in Union Oregon, then Jennifer was Grand Patriotism at the Rainbow Grand Initiation in La Grande. Tonight we attended the Miss Oregon Job's Daughter Pageant. The contestant that Susan coached won the Pageant and is the new MOJD. DeMolay Mystery Trip

This weekend, we took the members of Tigard DeMolay on a series of mystery trips. Friday night we went out to Sauvie Island, where we met up with the Hillsboro Rainbow Assembly at a haunted corn maze. 
Afterward we went to downtown Portland to enjoy some Voodoo Doughnuts.
After a sleepover at our house, yesterday we had fun at the Clackamas Aquatic Center.
Last night we went to the installation of Peninsula Chapter at Kenton Lodge in north Portland. Some of the boys watched while two helped Bryan install the chapter for the new term.

More Receptions

We've been attending a lot of Masonic receptions lately. Last week we drove to Eugene to attend the Hawaiian themed reception for Worthy Grand Patron of Oregon Eastern Star. Above is Jennifer with the Grand Worthy Advisor and the Grand Bethel Honored Queen.
Bryan presented the WGP with a gift from Oregon DeMolay.
Last night we attended the reception for the Grand Worthy Advisor at the Salem Scottish Rite. Jennifer won an award for promotion of Oregon Rainbow.
