Grand Session

Friday evening was the Formal Opening. Jennifer escorted in the Associate Grand Bethel Guardian.

After opening, we took some girls out for a snack, and stopped at this important landmark.

Last night the Grand Bethel held its installation. Jennifer was installed as Grand Bethel 5th Messenger.Bryan took part in the Rose Ceremony.

Annual Conventions

June is when a lot of Masonic groups hold their annual conventions. Last week, Bryan attended the meeting of the International Supreme Council of DeMolay in Dallas, Texas. Yesterday he left for Pendleton to attend the Grand Chapter of Easter Star, while Jennifer visited Bethel 67 in Portland. Wednesday Jennifer and Susan drove to Salem for the Grand Session of Job's Daughters.

Thursday, Jennifer submitted her entries for Grand Session, and competed in ritual. She won in several categories, and placed in others. That night the Grand Bethel performed a majority ceremony.

This morning, the Daughters held a Congress, approving new bylaws and determining who the Grand Bethel officers for the next year will be.

Initiations, Celebration, and an Installation.

It’s been another busy week of Masonic activities.  On Tuesday, Bethel 11 initiated a new member. A former Miss Wisconsin Job's Daughters was visiting, and helped with the initiation.

On Thursday, Milwaukie DeMolay obligated another boy.

Saturday, we attended the 100th anniversary of Palestine Lodge in Portland. The Grand Master and several Grand Lodge officers were also there.

In the evening we went to the installation of Bethel 20 of Beaverton. Jennifer was introduced with another Honored Queen.

Bryan led the members of Tigard DeMolay in performing a Rose Ceremony for the new Honored Queen.

Grand Lodge

Thursday morning, Susan took the kids to the opening of Grand Lodge in Salem. Friday night we all attended the installation, where I was installed as Grand Swordbearer.

Bryan and Jennifer were among the youth who escorted in the new Grand Lodge officers and their wives.

At the reception afterward, Jennifer took a picture with the new Grand Master. On Sunday we went to the installation of Bethel 66.
