Disney World Part One

On Sunday Susan and the kids headed back to Atlanta and flew to Orlando, where they boarded a Magic Express bus to the Saratoga Springs Resort at Disney World. They were in a studio room in the Congress Park area, across the lake from Downtown Disney.
This morning, they spent some time at the pool before heading into Epcot. At Epcot, they rode Soarin' using fastpass+ and took a picture at the Visa Rewards picture spot. They had a fp+ for Test Track as well, but it was down.
They took the monorail into the Magic Kingdom.  They could see the DVC expansion work going on at the Polynesian resort.
Walls surrounded the hub, where Disney is creating more walkways and fireworks viewing areas.
The new Mine Train ride in Fantasyland was open with an 85 minute wait.  They decided to wait for another day to ride it.

Georgia Grand Assembly

On Wednesday night, Susan and the kids flew to Atlanta, where they rented a car and drove to Macon, where they attended Georgia Rainbow's Grand Assembly.
Jennifer enjoyed hanging out with Georgia's GWA Morgan, who she met when she was Rep to Georgia two years ago.
Two other members of Oregon Rainbow also went to Georgia's Grand Assembly.  This year's Rep and last year's.

Grand Assembly Installation

On Saturday the girls watched a pledge ceremony, then presented the outgoing GWA with gifts.  Jennifer gave her a photo collage of her year.
She then led the cavalcade of flags.
Saturday night was the installation of the new GWA and her officers.  Jennifer was installed as Grand Faith.
After installation she mingled.  She was able to get the new GWA and all of the GWA's Jennifer has been an officer for to pose for a picture.

Grand Assembly

This weekend Oregon Rainbow held its annual convention, Grand Assembly.  Susan and Jennifer headed out to Pendleton on Wednesday, and Jennifer competed in ritual and they watched the installation of the Grand Chapter of Oregon Easter Star.  On Thursday Grand Assembly started, and as Grand Drill Leader, Jennifer led the opening marches, proclaimed the meetings at labor and at recess, and escorted and announced dignitaries.
On Friday she gave a report on the year's activities of the State Miss Service team.  They raised over $1000 for the GWA's service project, Kidtalk.  She also named the new State Miss Service.
Next up were announcements, where she and other members of her assembly learned what offices they would hold for the next year.
She joined the members of Cherry Assembly in a dance routine.
I picked up Bryan at the airport and we arrived in Pendleton Friday evening in time to watch Jennifer perform her part at the Grand Initiation.  After that she took part in a pantaloon contest.

Grand Lodge

On the first Friday in June, Jennifer and I drove down to Salem to attend the installation of the new Grand Lodge officers.  She helped escort in the new Grand Lodge officers.
Besides Jennifer, there was the GWA and GWAA of Rainbow, two councilors of the DeMolay State Corps, and the GBHQ and Miss Oregon Job's Daughter.
Bryan meanwhile took his last trip in Australia.  They spent a weekend in Kalbarri, where amongst other things they went canoeing.  Then it was time for finals and getting ready to come home.
