Southern Oregon National Parks

On Sunday afternoon we left Whiskeytown and went northwest to the Thomas H. Kuchel visitor center of Redwoods National Park, where we enjoyed walking on the beach as well as learning about the park.
We continued up the coast, stopping at the Trees of Mystery. We walked the trails and rode the gondola to the top of the hill. When we got to Crescent City, we stopped at the park headquarters to turn in the Junior Ranger programs.
On Monday we continued north, and stopped at Oregon Caves National Monument. We enjoyed the cave tour. We camped that night at Stewart State Park, which was really nice.
Our final stop was at Crater Lake National Park. Once again some of the roads were blocked due to snow. We were able to go up to the Rim Village visitor center and the Lodge, but couldn't drive Rim Drive or go out through the north entrance. We then headed home.
