On Tuesday, Bethel 11 initiated a new Daughter. Jennifer did both Senior & Junior Princess parts.Yesterday,
Bryan attended the Grand Master's Class in Tigard. The State officers performed
the full degrees for 11 new DeMolay. Bryan was Marshal in the
Initiatory degree, and Orator in the DeMolay degree.Today Bethel 11 installed its Daughters into offices for next term.
Jennifer again went in as Honored Queen.

Milwaukie DeMolay
Tonight Bryan acted as Master Councilor for Milwaukie Chapter of DeMolay. With the help of the current and immediate past State Master Councilors, the chapter performed the Obligation Ceremony for a new member.On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Jennifer attended the joint OV of Portland area Bethels 1, 4, 17, and 20.

Founder’s Day
On Saturday, I drove Bryan and another boy from Bend over to Cottage Grove for DeMolay’s annual Founders Day.
Bryan took part in a degree in honor of the anniversary of the passing of Dad Land, the founder of DeMolay.
Yesterday, Bryan and Jennifer, along with some of the members of Bethel 11 and Pilgrim Chapter, rode on Bend Lodge's float in the Veteran's Day parade.

Shrine Food Caravan
This weekend Bryan and Jennifer attended the Shrine Food Caravan at the Wilsonville Shrine Center. They unloaded boxes of food sent from all over the State to support the Shriner's Hospital.Earlier this month, Bryan helped a local Cub Scout Den with their bike day.We also took the kids over to Scio for an ORCA open house. Later they took part in a golf tournament for their ORCA golf club.

Halloween Party
On the first Sunday of the month we traveled to the Wilsonville Shrine Center to attend the Pageant to choose the next Miss Oregon Job's Daughter.Last Sunday Jennifer accompanied her Bethel to Eugene for a joint Official Visit with three other Bethels. Together they initiated four new Job's Daughters.
Last night, Bryan and Jennifer attended a party jointly hosted between Pilgrim Chapter DeMolay and Bethel 11 Job's Daughters.

DeMolay Honors Day
Wednesday was our last day at the Disneyland resort. We slept in, then went into California Adventure for a last photo. After checking out, we went to Downtown Disney so the kids could do Build-A-Bear. Then we headed north, stopping in a central California to visit my parents along the way home.
On Sunday, we drove down to Salem for DeMolay Honors Day. They were held at the Salem Scottish Rite. Bryan took part in several ceremonies.
Last
night the Daughters of Bethel 11 performed a special initiation at our
neighboring Lodge. We were a little shorthanded, but the girls did a
great job.

Disneyland
Yesterday we hopped between parks and enjoyed the attractions. New fountains had been installed in the Paradise Pier lagoon for the upcoming World of Color show. We also checked out of our room at the Disneyland Hotel and into a new DVC villa at the Grand Californian.We had a one-bedroom villa. Bryan and Jennifer slept in the sleeper sofa and the murphy bed under the tv in the living area.
Last night Jennifer attended a meeting of Bethel 145 in Hemet California. She sat in as Inner Guard as the Bethel initiated four new members.
Today we enjoyed another day at the Disneyland Resort with our friends from the Temecula Bethel, and then attended a Disney Vacation Club reception in one of the Grand Villas at the Grand Californian Hotel.

Car Park
On Saturday, Bryan helped the Eugene DeMolay Chapter park cars and pick up cans at a University of Oregon football game.On Sunday the girls had more fun at camp before heading home.Tonight

Leadership Camp
Last Monday night, Jennifer and I attended a joint initiation with Bethel 1 at Bethel
4 in north Portland. Between the two Bethels, three girls became
Daughters. Jennifer brought her HIKE board and merchandise.
Susan and Bryan attended the Court of Honor for Bryan’s Boy Scout Troop. Bryan was awarded several merit badges.

Jobie Jamboree
This weekend, Jennifer and Susan attended the Jobie Jamboree in Wisconsin.
Thursday night, they met the SBHQ at the Milwaukie airport, and Friday
morning PSG Coley drove them to the Jamboree.
Yesterday they attended the meeting of the Grand Bethel of
Wisconsin. That night Jennifer watched her friend crown a new Miss Wisconsin.
Today they attended the installation of the Wisconsin Grand Bethel, then
visited with their new friends from Wisconsin. Here is Jennifer with

DeMolay Leadership Conference
During the second week of August, Bryan attended DLC.While there the boys learned more about DeMolay, how to plan and execute events, and had fun.This year it was held at a Boy Scout camp in Washington on Buck Creek, north of Mount Rainier. Yesterday, while I drove to Washington to pick Bryan up, Jenn left to camp at Silver Lake State Park with her Girl Scout troop.

Supreme Session Installation
There wasn't a whole lot to do near the hotel in downtown Richmond. We didn't rent a car because we didn't think we'd use it enough to make it worth the expense. Wednesday afternoon we went with friends from California to check out the nearby Hollywood Cemetery. It was interesting, with several historic figures buried there. It also had nice views of the James River.
Wednesday night Jennifer took part in the formal opening as a SB Rep, and was presented an award for her fund-raising for HIKE. Bryan also attended, and visited with the International Master Councilor of DeMolay, and the California Grand Bethel Musician.
Yesterday, Jennifer carried the Canadian flag during the opening of the
Supreme Bethel, and was excited when a friend from California was drawn
as the SB Rep to Oregon. During lunch, the results of the Arts and
Crafts competitions were announced. Jennifer placed in 8 of the 9
categories she entered, earning 4 firsts, 3 seconds, and a third. After
dinner we attended the Miss International Job's Daughters pageant.Today we spent the day visiting friends, and tonight attended the Supreme Bethel Installation. Tomorrow we'll fly home.

Supreme Session
Saturday we arrived in Richmond, Virginia after spending all night flying. We checked into our room, napped, explored the area around the hotel, and swam in the pool. Sunday we registered for Session, turned in Jennifer's arts and crafts entries, continued getting the lay of the land, and greeted friends as they arrived. After dinner, Jennifer and Bryan went swimming with a friend from California.
Monday Jennifer registered for the Supreme Bethel Representative drawing,
attended a job's Daughter Congress, and visited with Daughters from
other jurisdictions. In the evening, she practiced with the other
members of the Oregon ritual team.
Yesterday morning,
Jennifer was up early to compete in ritual, both on the Oregon team and
doing Story of Job individually. She then attended a lunch for the
Supreme Bethel and a meeting about HIKE. In the evening she went
swimming with friends and then attended a dance to benefit HIKE. Bryan mostly hung out and read.
Today Jennifer attended a practice for the Supreme Bethel meeting, the Royalty Lunch, and the Necrology ceremony.

July Update
Jennifer attended the Supreme Kickoff Barbeque last Sunday in Troutdale. As a Supreme
Representative and member of the Supreme Ritual team, she was presented
with gifts to take to Supreme. After lunch, the members of the ritual
team held a practice.
On Friday we attended an ORCA event at the Evergreen Aviation Museum near McMinnville. The museum houses the Spruce Goose as well as many other planes.Yesterday, Jennifer joined members of Bethel 10, the GBHQ, and the MOJD
in a parade through downtown Milwaukie. Bryan also walked with members
of Milwaukie DeMolay.
Today, Bryan worked at the annual Auction to raise money for Oregon DeMolay.
