Masonic Youth Dinner
In March, the Bethels of Job's Daughters celebrate the birth of their founder, Ethel T. Wead Mick, and the Chapters of the Order of DeMolay celebrate their founding. March, therefore, was a good month for our Masonic Lodge to honor them with a dinner.
Following the dinner Thursday night, our Honored Queen and Princesses performed a short ceremony honoring Mother Mick, and Bryan told about the founding of DeMolay, its precepts, its officers, and the man it was named after. Unfortunately, turnout was small, as many of the Masons were at the Scottish Rite
Reunion.
One of our Bethel's fundraising activities is "flocking". Late at night, we put plastic flamingos on the lawns of people we know. In return for a donation, we'll take the flamingos away and place them on the lawn of their choosing.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Dinner
Last Saturday
Bethel 11 held a fundraising dinner. We made chicken cordon bleu and
served it to friends and members of our Masonic Lodge. We're trying to
raise money to go to Grand Bethel and Grand Session. Afterward we had a
Purple Party.
On Monday night Jennifer went to Bethel 1 to help with an initiation.
Unfortunately, the candidate didn't make it, so the girls just had a
regular meeting and had fun afterward.
Yesterday, Bethel 11 had a special meeting to initiate a new girl. Two girls from other Bethels came and helped us.
After the initiation, we had a swim party.

GBHQ Reception
From Napa, we headed south to Pleasanton for the Reception of the Grand Bethel Honored Queen, which was hosted by Bethel 14.
It was a very nice reception, and over 200 people were in attendance. The members of Bethel 14 presented the GBHQ with a quilt.
At refreshment afterwards, Jennifer visited with some of the members of the Pleasanton Bethel. Here she is with Bethel 14's two Supreme Bethel officers. This morning we headed back to Oregon.

Central Coast
Monday
night, we returned to Bethel 49 in Fresno for their Official Visit by
their Grand Deputy. They exemplified the Ceremony of Initiation, and
Jennifer was Fifth Messenger. The Pilgrim was a Past Honored Queen from
Bethel 41 in Tulare, who was affiliating with Bethel 49 following the
closure of Bethel 41.
From Fresno, we headed southwest to the Central Coast, and hung out there for a few days. On Wednesday night, we visited Bethel 339 in Santa Maria. Thursday night we walked around the Farmer's Market in downtown San Luis Obispo. Yesterday we headed north, stopping at Morro Bay to play at the beach.

Statewide Initiation
Last Saturday, we attended the reception for the State DeMolay Officers and Honor Court in Wilsonville. This Saturday we traveled to Eugene for the DJR Statewide Initiation. The Rainbow girls, DeMolay, and Job's Daughters from all over Oregon held initiations in area Lodges. Bryan and Jenn were both on the degree teams. After the Initiations, we enjoyed the dance and talent show, held at the Eugene Scottish Rite. We also sold Easter themed See's Candies to raise money for the HIKE fund. Jennifer is hoping to raise $1000 before this year's Supreme Session.
Following the dance, Jennifer and another member of Bethel 11 joined the
Marguerite Assembly for a sleepover. The rest of us slept in the RV. On Sunday we departed for another week of visiting Bethels in California.
