Tokyo Disneyland

Monday we spent the morning in Tokyo Disneyland. It was interesting seeing the ways it was similar and different than Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. The first two major differences is the lack of a train station at the front and a covered Main Street, which is called World Bazaar.
The castle here is a replica of Cinderella Castle at MK. Adventureland has Disneyland’s Pirates, a Tiki room with Stitch, the treehouse, and the Jungle Cruise, but that was closed for refurbishment. Instead of Frontierland, it has Westernland, which features Big Thunder Mountain, Tom Sawyer Island, Bear Country Jamboree, and a river boat. Splash Mountain is in Critter Country, and there’s a train that starts in Adventureland and winds around Westernland and Critter Country, but it was closed for refurbishment.
We rode most of the Fantasyland rides. Besides the carousel, tea cups, and Dumbo, there’s several dark rides - Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Snow White, and Small World. Haunted Mansion is here as well, with the same facade as in MK. Pooh's Hunny Hunt, which uses a trackless system, was really neat, and unique to Tokyo Disneyland. Like DisneySea, Disneyland was pretty crowded, but we were able to do everything we wanted by getting there early and using fast passes.
After a break in the afternoon to get out of the heat and humidity, we returned to watch Tokyo's version of the Electrical Parade. It was more impressive than the one currently at the Magic Kingdom in Florida - it had more floats and the lights changed colors. The genie float was especially cool.
