On Sunday we concentrated on the less popular rides that didn't have fastpass. We looked around the Mermaid Lagoon area, which has a couple of small flat rides inside, a small coaster outside, and a Little Mermaid show. We then rode the Sinbad ride in the Arabian Coast area. It’s a boat ride like Small World, and really cute. Arabian Coast also has a flying carpet spinner like Magic Kingdom, but here it’s themed to Jasmin, not Aladdin, a big carousel, and a show featuring the Genie.
It was awfully hot and humid. We looked around some of the other areas, then rode Stormrider in Port Discovery. It’s a simulator ride through a storm. Port Discovery also has a ride called Aquatopia, where small boats move trackless through a shallow pool. We then left to check into our hotel and rest.
I returned later that evening with the kids. We rode the Tower of Terror, which is located in American Waterfront and has a different look and theme than those in Anaheim and Florida, and the Indiana Jones ride in Lost River Delta. There’s also a roller coaster there. This morning we started in Mysterious Island, which has two dark rides. The first uses a vehicle similar to Test Track to “descend” deep into the earth then race around the island. The second is a simulated sub ride. We then made our way around the rest of the park, checking out every ride we didn’t do on Sunday, although we did ride Sinbad again. We also went on the boats that go around Mysterious Island and Mermaid Lagoon, and stop at Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, and Lost River Delta.
