Holidays at Disneyland

California Adventure went from having its letters look like Candy Corn on October 31st . . .
to looking like Candy Canes on November 1st.
Of course the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay fits in with both Halloween and Christmas decorations.
We spent three more days in the parks after Halloween, enjoying the rides and shows. Thursday we ate lunch at Storytellers, and in the afternoon the kids made Mickey and Minnie dolls at Build-A-Bear. Yesterday we headed north and stopped for the night in the Bay Area, where we visited friends.

Halloween-Time

Tuesday morning we went into Disneyland for early entry, a perk of staying at the Disney hotels, and enjoyed the rides in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
We had fun meeting Jack Sparrow while we had lunch at the Blue Bayou.
In the afternoon we went over to California Adventure, where they had replaced the Golden Dreams movie with a Golden Screams show. Bryan won an award for best scream of the show.

Disneyland

On Saturday we headed south to spend five days hopping between the Disneyland parks. For the first two days the parks were decorated for Halloween.
After a stop in central California, we arrived at the resort on Sunday. That night we stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel, which is right across the street from California Adventure.
Looking north from the hotel, we could see part of Downtown Disney and the parking garage. The Disneyland Hotel is located to the northwest, and the Grand Californian Hotel is directly to the east. Just north of the Grand Californian is the rest of Downtown Disney, with Disneyland beyond that. California Adventure lies to the southeast.
We spent Monday morning in California Adventure, then we switched to a room at the Grand Californian.
Our room had a great view of Grizzly Mountain, which for the first night had cobwebs projected onto it.
