Last Day

This morning we checked out of the hotel and headed into the parks for a couple hours. We watched the new Lincoln show at Disneyland.

Then we went over to California Adventure and rode the fun wheel. Above is a picture of the Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotels. The Disneyland Hotel is currently being renovated.

Construction continues on the new Little Mermaid ride, which will be located where the Golden Dreams movie was, as well as the World of Color viewing area. 

I also took a shot of Carsland under construction. After a few more rides, we headed out for Temecula.

Tonight we attended the meeting of Bethel 187, then began the long drive home.

Park hopping

Last night Jennifer attended an initiation at Bethel #5 in Anaheim with our friends from Temecula. She filled in as First Messenger.

Today we spent another day at the Disneyland Resort, hopping back and forth between the two parks and our room. In the afternoon some of our friends from Temecula joined us.

In the evening we watched as they tested World of Color, then hopped back to Disneyland for a few more rides.

Disneyland & California Adventure

This morning we visited the California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort. In Paradise Pier, work is continuing on the World of Color show.

In the Hollywood Studio section, the main street was walled off to allow construction of a trolley line. We ate an early lunch at the Pacific Wharf area.

In the afternoon we walked across the plaza to Disneyland. The rivers around Tom Sawyers Island had been drained. Crowds weren't too bad - we had little to no wait on the attractions we rode, but we stuck to ones with fairly large capacities.

We checked out the new location of the Disney Gallery, in the old bank building on Main Street. In addition to Disney art, there was an exhibit on how some rides had changed over the years.

Grand Californian Hotel

Today we slept in, visited with our friends from Temecula, and then drove to Anaheim and checked into a one-bedroom villa at the Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland.

It has a fairly big kitchen, and we brought some food with us, as well as stopping at the store on the way.We were on the first floor, so didn't have a great view, but we also didn't have to wait for the elevator.

California Grand Bethel Reception

Yesterday we drove south to Temecula, California, where we attended the reception of the Grand Bethel Musician. Jennifer was Honorary Recorder.

After the ceremony, she and Bryan presented their friend with gifts.

And visited with other guests, including the Grand Bethel Honored Queen.

Rainbow Installation and DeMolay Reception

Last Saturday we traveled to Eugene for the installation of Jennifer's Rainbow Assembly.We then drove up to the Wilsonville Shrine Center for the reception of the DeMolay State Master Councilor and Sweetheart Ball.

Today we headed down to North Bend for the Installation of Tioga Chapter.

Bryan was the Installing Officer.

Masonic Youth Update

We've again been busy with our Masonic Youth groups. In January, we met the Eugene Youth groups at Hoodoo Ski Area for a day of innertubing, and held a night of lazer tag at the Lodge. 

In February, we put on a scrapbook night as a fundraiser for the Bethel.

We also held two obligation ceremonies for the DeMolay chapter.

At Bethel 11's regular meeting in February, we initiated a new member.
