North Shore

This morning we made breakfast in our villa, then went down to the pool area for a couple of hours. Besides several pools and hot tubs, Aulani has two slides and a lazy river.

 

In afternoon we headed toward the North Shore. We stopped at the Dole Plantation to look around. There was an intermittent drizzle all day so the maze was closed and we decided not to spend the money to ride the train.

We then drove to Haleiwa and had a late lunch at the Beach House restaurant. After that we walked around the stores and ate Matsumoto shaved ice. We then stopped at Ted’s Bakery and picked up some pies for later.

Finally we drove to Turtle Beach to watch the sunset and try to spot sea turtles but didn’t see any. We then headed back to Aulani, which took a little over an hour, and enjoyed some pie.
