There wasn't a whole lot to do near the hotel in downtown Richmond. We didn't rent a car because we didn't think we'd use it enough to make it worth the expense. Wednesday afternoon we went with friends from California to check out the nearby Hollywood Cemetery. It was interesting, with several historic figures buried there. It also had nice views of the James River.
Wednesday night Jennifer took part in the formal opening as a SB Rep, and was presented an award for her fund-raising for HIKE. Bryan also attended, and visited with the International Master Councilor of DeMolay, and the California Grand Bethel Musician.
Yesterday, Jennifer carried the Canadian flag during the opening of the
Supreme Bethel, and was excited when a friend from California was drawn
as the SB Rep to Oregon. During lunch, the results of the Arts and
Crafts competitions were announced. Jennifer placed in 8 of the 9
categories she entered, earning 4 firsts, 3 seconds, and a third. After
dinner we attended the Miss International Job's Daughters pageant.Today we spent the day visiting friends, and tonight attended the Supreme Bethel Installation. Tomorrow we'll fly home.
