Epcot and Magic Kingdom

Yesterday was the last day our friends were here. We spent most of the day at Epcot, catching anything we missed on our first day. At the center of Future World is Spaceship Earth, which has a dark ride about the history of communication. The west side has three pavilions, The Seas, The Land, and Imagination. Each has a ride, although the Seas is currently being refurbished. The Seas also has Turtle Talk, the Land has Soarin’, and Imagination has the Honey I Shrunk the Kids 3D movie.
The east side of Future World has Ellen’s Energy Adventure, Mission: Space, and Test Track. There’s also Wonders of Life, which is only open seasonally. Besides Spaceship Earth, there’s also exhibits, food, and shops between the west and east side.
The pavilions of the World Showcase surround a large lagoon. They are Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, UK, and Canada. Mexico and Norway have boat rides, and China, France, and Canada have movies. America has a multimedia show with animatronics. All have shops and restaurants. We ate lunch at the teppanyaki restaurant in the Japan pavilion.
Even though there aren’t a lot of rides there, the kids really enjoyed walking through the World Showcase, doing crafts at the Kidcot areas and talking to the cultural representatives. In the late afternoon we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. We got to ride in front.
We did a few more rides, including the Jungle Cruise at night, and watched the fireworks.
