Rainbow Grand Cross

Saturday was the last OV of the Rainbow Grand Term, so we traveled down to Woodburn for it. Jennifer was one of those awarded this year with a Grand Cross for service to Rainbow.

Saturday night, Bryan was installing officer for Peninsula Chapter in Portland.

Yesterday, he and Jennifer traveled to North Bend, where he served as installing officer for Tioga Chapter.

Conclave Installation

On Saturday morning, there was a tournament with sword fighting and archery at a nearby school.

In the evening was the awards banquet. 

Last night, Bryan was reinstalled as SMC of Oregon DeMolay. Jennifer was installed as State Princess.

DeMolay Conclave

 

This weekend Oregon DeMolay is holding its annual convention. Bryan presided as State Master Councilor, and Jennifer assisted as the newly appointed State Princess. Thursday night, they played indoor paintball in Salem.

Friday morning was the business session, followed after lunch by mini-classes, held as before in Keizer.  

Last night there was a banquet honoring the leaders of the Masonic Orders in Oregon.

Idaho Conclave & California Grand Assembly

Saturday night, Bryan attended the installation of the State Officers of Idaho DeMolay. Above is a picture of all the Region 8 Jurisdictional Officers in attendance.

Meanwhile, Susan and Jennifer hung out in San Luis Obispo and visited Hearst Castle then headed to Fresno for California's Grand Assembly.

Today Jennifer and Susan attended the installation of California Rainbow's Grand Officers, then started the long drive back to Oregon.

California Beach Trip

Saturday the three Assemblies in Jennifer's Rainbow District held their Official Visit. As one of the Worthy Advisors, Jennifer presided over the opening and introductions. The Assemblies performed a special ceremony and presented gifts to the Supreme Inspector and Grand Worthy Advisor. The theme was a Day at the Beach.

Immediately following the OV was a reception for the Grand Officers of the District. Each Grand Officer gave a speech, so Jennifer spoke about her trips to California.

Earlier this week, Susan and Jennifer headed down to the central coast of California for a fun trip before attending California Rainbow's Grand Assembly.
They stopped at the Jelly Belly factory for a tour. Bryan, meanwhile, boarded a plane for Boise tonight to attend Idaho DeMolay's Conclave.

DeMolay Installations

Friday night, Tigard Chapter held their spring installation.Jennifer and Katie made desserts. Yesterday, they traveled to Corvallis for a Rainbow Official Visit.
Last night, Bryan was Installing Officer for Pacific Chapter in Forest Grove.

Grand Court Amaranth

Last Saturday was the annual Statewide Initiation, sponsored by the Grand Lodge of Oregon. Members of all three Masonic youth groups gathered in Salem to hold initiations followed by a joint talent show and dance.

On Sunday we attended a Table Lodge with the Grand Master, some of his officers, and members of DeMolay.On Thursday, Bryan performed the flower talk at the opening of Grand Court for Oregon Amaranth. Last night, he presented the new Grand Royal Matron and Patron gifts, and introduced his new State Officers.
