Conclave

This weekend was the annual convention of Oregon DeMolay. This year Conclave had a "Godfather" theme.  It was held in Keizer.

After the opening ceremony the kids went bowling. On Friday the state officers and some former state officers put on a DeMolay degree, then all the attendees went to a nearby school to play sports.
Five boys and a sweetheart from Pilgrim Chapter attended, and had a great time. We were combined with the Milwaukie Chapter for sports competition.

Official Visit

Today our Bethel hosted the Grand Guardian for her Official Visit.

Afterward we held our annual chicken cordon bleu fundraiser dinner.

Meanwhile, Bryan and his troop built a bridge to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts.

Even More DeMolay

Last weekend, Bryan attended the annual Convention of Washington DeMolay with the State Master Councilor. This week, he continued visiting DeMolay chapters. On Monday we attended the meeting of Peninsula Chapter. Bryan filled in as Junior Deacon.

On Tuesday we visited Mt Hood Chapter. Bryan did the Senior Deacon part for opening and closing. Meanwhile, Jennifer visited Bethel 67.

Wednesday we attended a dinner at Palestine Lodge with the Milwaukie Chapter.

Thursday was the meeting of Milwaukie Chapter. Bryan acted as Master Councilor, and the State Master Councilor helped as well.

More DeMolay

We continued spending a lot of time on DeMolay this week. On Wednesday night, Pilgrim Chapter held an installation. Bryan was installed as Master Councilor, while Jennifer was installed as Chapter Sweetheart.

On Friday night, we drove to St Helens for the official visit of the State Master Councilor to that Chapter. Bryan filled in for their Senior Deacon.

Before the meeting, the boys ate dinner.

Yesterday, we attended a joint OV with Tigard, Milwaukie, and Mt Hood Chapters.

DeMolay Meetings

This week Bryan and I visited more DeMolay Chapters. On Monday we attended a meeting at Peninsula Chapter. On Tuesday we visited Mt Hood Chapter. Both Peninsula and Mt Hood are in Portland.

On Thursday we attended a meeting at Willamette Chapter, in Rickreal, just west of Salem. This weekend Bryan went to DeMolay Leadership Training in Reno, Nevada.

Masonic Youth Night

Last Tuesday the Bethel held their regular meeting. The girls did a tribute to Mother Mick, the founder of job's daughters.

The DeMolay practiced downstairs, then joined the girls for pictures and dessert.

This week we visited various Masonic groups. On Monday, Jennifer and I visited Bethel 4. On Tuesday Bryan and I visited Tigard DeMolay. On Wednesday Susan and I attended a meeting of Tigard Eastern Star.On Thursday we attended Milwaukie DeMolay's meeting, and tonight we visited St Helens DeMolay.

DJR

Yesterday, we took several members of our Job's Daughters and DeMolay groups over to Keizer/Salem, where they took part in the annual DJR Statewide Initiation. Both Bryan and Jennifer were on their respective initiation teams. Jennifer was Grand Bethel Third Messenger, and Bryan did Marshal and Orator for the DeMolay degrees.

Following a pizza dinner, the kids attended the annual DJR dance and talent show. Earlier in the day, Jennifer tried out for our Supreme Ritual team, while Bryan interviewed to be a candidate for Deputy State Master Councilor.

After the talent show, the Supreme team was announced, and we learned Jennifer would again be Fifth Messenger.
